I wish Very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2008 to every Hon’ble member of All India Federation of Tax Practitioners.

I am extremely grateful to all the members of AIFTP for unanimously electing me as National President for 2008-2009.

It was a matter of great privilege for every member associated with the 14th National Tax Convention which was held on 7th, 8th and 9th December, 2007 at New Delhi, which was addressed by the most illustrious legal personalities of the country. On this occasion the new National Executive Committee has been constituted on 7th December, 2007 to carry the flag of AIFTP to further heights, which have been achieved by the AIFTP under able guidance of outgoing President of Shri V. Ramachandran, Senior Advocate of the Madras High Court.

The members of the Federation have been performing their respective job with extreme sincerity for which AIFTP is proud off.

The New National Executive has taken over the responsibilities to carry forward the high standards set up by our predecessor and its success shall depend upon the full co-operation and support of every zone with the constant interaction with every member of the Federation.

In the recent years the Federation has travelled beyond the boundary of the country and has expanded its horizon to various other countries in co-ordination with the professional bodies of various countries.

In the era of globalization we cannot confine ourselves within the four corners of our place and we have to travel beyond by taking the appropriate steps for the growth of every member of the Federation.

I on my behalf and on behalf of the New National Executive shall try our best to ensure that the flag of the Federation flies high for ever and this object can be achieved by regular interaction through Conferences, Workshop and Study Tours.

The Federation shall also take the necessary steps for the growth and development of young members of the Bar who shall be the future of our profession.

I shall try to be in constant touch with you for the cause of the Federation.
